Adam Smith, the Father of Capitalism. I think these Q&A below succinctly summarise some key-questions some of us have in relation to our work life. I think they make a lot of sense. I've never thought of using the phrase 'capitalism' to describe what we do here, but if this is what capitalism or free enterprise is all about, I guess I am a practitioner.

So what am I doing on this planet?You are here to enrich the lives of other people. 4. How do I enrich the lives of others? Love your customers. Increase the quality and quantity of what you do for others. Find your area of excellence, set goals, focus and concentrate on goals, resolve to pay the necessary price in advance. What is in it for me?You will enrich your own life to the extend to which you enrich the lives of others. 5. Precisely, what should I do? At the corporate level, find your specialisation, establish competitive advantage, identify your market segment, and concentrate all your resources hitting your market segment with your competitive advantage in your area of excellence.
